The volunteers behind the Forum.
For thirty-seven years, the Yorkshire Sikh Forum has been run entirely by volunteers. Twenty-seven named members serve the Forum across its three chapters — Bradford, Leeds and Huddersfield — and as patrons, advisors and officers covering the wider Yorkshire region.
The committee meets regularly to plan Vaisakhi, manage the Forum's civic engagement, oversee charitable work, and support the next generation of Sikh youth and women in Yorkshire. Many members have served for decades; some have been recognised with national honours including MBE, OBE, FRSA and Deputy Lieutenancy.
